November Blues..

D1 fighter
Autumn Sun
Tower Bridge
November has been very hectic for me. Firstly, I was and still am on leave for 21 days in Nov. And I thought I would get some much needed rest but guess what? I could barely find time to even stay in bed until noon.
Let's start with the 4th, I had a golf tournament to shoot and then rushed back to Shah Alam to catch the last round of D1 Malaysia (the rx7 above is from Thailand and extremely fast). D1 is a drift competition in case you are not familiar.
2 days later, I was on my way to London with my family to visit my cousin there. I was there for 1 week.
After I got back, I had another golf tournament to shoot for 3 days. On the 17th pulak, was my eldest daughter's Bday. All in all, I have about 15Gb worth of pictures to process. Until today, I ve only managed to edit a few. So, just thought I d share some. Lemme know what ya think (as usual) okie?

nice panning shoot.. i like it... the smoke, the car. the background, perfect. Tue 28-Nov-2006 00:43

lonely

alone
her name is Vanessa. shot this a while back for her modelling portfolio. any comments would be appreciated thanks..

the lighting and composition are quite good. the only thing that i'd pick a bone with is the title. she doesn't have 'lonely' written on her face. still, it'll do well for her portfolio. Mon 16-Oct-2006 15:15

U know what, I d have to agree with u on the title. I think I was a bit lost with words that night. Actually until now, I still cant find a suitable title for it. Thanks for the comments bro. Really appreciate it. Tue 17-Oct-2006 01:30

This is a common backyard millipede which i found a couple of days ago. I thought I'd give my macro and manual focus skills a test . It cud be also be a good pet as he posed for me nicely here.

Twin Towers. Day and Night

Jekyl and Hyde of KL

This is the Petronas Twin Towers. I know this is a very common subject but this is 2 images combined into 1. On the left side is night and the right side (u guessed it ) is day. Let me know if its still boring because i kinda like it. Maybe because i myself also boring dats why i tend to shoot boring stuffs

Hi... love the concept...Beautifully done.

Bila nak gi outing lagi?
Our last outing was in Shah Alam years back.....

Kinda cliche, but still very nice.

IMO, there's a bit of halo around the towers. (too much USM?)

Surfers Paradise @ Brisbane. Australia

surfer chick
photogs paradise?
G day mate !!! Hello... well, i was doing my tour of duty again and this time it was in the Gold Coast. Such a fine place, especially the beaches. Clean and clear. As usual, i m with my Nikon roaming around hoping to be able to catch the beauty of the place. The morning before i left for KL, i set foot early after Subuh to capture the sun rise. It was cloudy But i forced myself to take sum shots anyways.. On my way back to the hotel, i saw this surfer babe catchin sum waves. Took my Nikon out again and shot her just before she reached the shores.

hope u still remember me (kem slm kat ur Queen n 2 lil princess).. btw the 2nd pic, is it for realll? wauwww.. agak frustrated la u x around time imee's konvo, kalu tak boleh tumpang sekaki, posing sakan... (salamz from kk, sabah) Thu 7-Sep-2006 05:26

tryin out..

victoria
hearts & arrows
hello again..

i just got back from Stockholm a few days back. didnt bring my dslr due to the strict security measures at the airport and i didnt want them to force me to check it in the cargo. so i brought my ex-girlfriend's point and shoot (sony cybershot) for the whole trip. in the end, it was ok to bring a camera on board (slr included). Damn!!! Neways, just thought i d share a picture i took with the Sony. It was shot under a bridge in the old town of Stockholm.
As for the Ring, my ex-gf just sent it in for thorough cleaning and it was almost like new and i decided to try sum macro shots. Fyi, i bought the ring 5 1/2 years ago and it cost 1 month sallary it was and still is a lot of money for me but it was well worth it.

hi amy, 2 be honest with u, i tried many times to get the hearts and arrows but my lighting wasnt right. any tips? as for the cut, colour and clarity, i have no idea. maybe have 2 ask d missus . As for the rule of thumb, U must be pretty lucky 2 be from the US (better not let my missus see this bcoz if not, she might want to migrate there then.. ) Wed 30-Aug-2006 16:34

dude, i have to say i really like the picture of victoria (who's she? back profile nampak macam hot je). the colors are just fascinating. i'd try a landscape orientation as well though. but yeah, i totally understand what you felt when told that you couldn't bring your dslr along, after being so used to the flexibility (was in that situation just a few weeks back). nonetheless, these two shots still look very good. Eifel Tower. Day and night.

Day Eifel
Night Eifel
While I was in Paris the other day, it wont be complete without pictures of the Eifel rite? So off I went to visit the tower. I was there around 5pm. Snapped sum candid shots of the French people, a little on the tower itself and the rest was spent waiting for sunset. Guess what? Its summer and the sun sets around 9.30pm. AAaaaa... Long wait but after taking sum after dark shots, i think it was worth it.
Mind u, i had no tripod with me hence the slight noisy pics due to high iso

eifel i fell in love... much better at night. Mon 21-Aug-2006 13:48

random photos

sunset over afghanistan
fishicella
seagull
i m quite fortunate to be able to travel quite often (under my company not on my own). so during these times, i ll try to capture what i seldom see in kl. the sunset overwing was shot on my recent trip from Paris to KL. i was also quite lucky to be seated at the window when everyone was mostly asleep, i was just staring out the window enjoying the sunset when i decided to try and take this shot. whaddaya think?
the 2nd shot of Giancarlo Fishicella (Alonso's Renault teamate) was taken early last year during qualifying at Sepang.
the seagull was shot in Adelaide near Glenelg Beach. is it a dull shot? let me know if it is ok

wow that flight engine was amazing shot.
nice color great tone.. using a polariser?!
i think you captured a right moment on the seagull..
nice.
